Garrett wraps up his study of the Book of Ezra this week by examining where God after the Jews returned home to Jerusalem and encountered obstacles while attempting to reconstruct the temple.
Ezra remembers from the teachings that people who say they want to help might have their own agendas that don't line up with God's agenda.
Garrett continues his examination of the Book of Ezra where Israelites have returned to their homeland after an exile of 70 years and start to rebuild their temple. The older Jews remember the previous temple and were heartbroken by what was now to become the new temple. The younger Jews who never saw the old temple found joy in this new temple. How can some people find disappointment where others find joy and hope? And why was there such celebration at only completion of the foundation, why not wait and have a huge celebration when the entire temple is complete?
Garrett opens the book of Ezra to explore how God made what seemed to be impossible promises to his people and yet kept those promises.
